What You Will Do:

Our client is seeking an experienced manager to lead our Technical Documentation Team. This role reports to the Vice President of Product Operations. The right candidate will have a love of technology as well as a master of the written word and have experience managing a globally diverse technical documentation team. The right candidate has experience evolving a documentation team to meet the growing demand for SaaS-based customer solutions.


  • Define writing projects and set team and shared goals.
  • Lead and develop your team of Technical Writers.
  • Track and manage multiple projects and releases.
  • Utilize analytics and feedback to measure documentation quality and effectiveness.
  • Help to shape and deliver content strategies that drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineers, Sales Enablement and User Experience teams to plan modern documentation deliverables such as context-sensitive help, UI text, and on-boarding content.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve efficiency.

 Experience/Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience planning and delivering customer-focused documentation.
  • Experience managing people and globally diverse teams working on different projects.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on products for a technical audience, such as Security and IT professionals.
  • Strong command of technical nuances of the English language
  • Experience working in an agile programming environment.
  • Experience transitioning documentation platforms for SaaS products.
  • Experience with outcome-based documentation (how to solve problems vs task list)
  • Experience with Zoomin, Heretto, and WebWorks strongly preferred.
