Network Administrator

Network Administrator:

• Requires in-office 5 days per week at 455 Bd de la Carrière #459, Gatineau, Quebec J8Y 6V7
• Secret Security Clearance required

Responsibilities:

• Planning, installing, managing and implementing network architectures;
• Windows 2003 Server or higher system administration;
• Managing TCP/IP, Network file system, and name servers;
• Microsoft Exchange Server administration;
• SQL and SMS Server Administration;
• Preparing and implementing network policies and procedures;
• Managing network personnel and Networking security;
• Managing Internet services (e.g. web servers, ftp servers, etc.);
• Gateway, bridge and router management;
• Management and security of systems connected to the Internet.
• Drafting and developing presentations and briefings regarding network status and issues to management;
• Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of management;
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams in the development and support of IT tactical systems or multi-site Enterprise Networks.

Qualifications:

• BSc in a related field: Proof of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) Bachelor’s degree in network, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR.
• 4 years of Management and security of systems connected to the Internet –
• 4 years of SMS Server Administration
• 4 years of Microsoft Exchange Server administration
• 4 years of preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering (i.e. System, software, computer, communication, security, or simulation) experience.
• 1 years in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Network Administrator on Military Command and Control systems.
