Are you passionate about DevOps? APIs and SDKs? Automation of IT and Security workflows? Our client’s Sales Engineering team is looking for someone who can understand the mind of IT professionals who are automating tasks through code, and someone who can walk and talk infrastructure as code.

Do you have a background as a DevOps Engineer, DevOps architect, Cloud Architect, Support Engineer for a SaaS or DevOps, or Linux or Windows Administration?  Sales Engineering experience is welcomed, but not necessary. Our client wants you to lead the charge on driving powerful demos showcasing their security automation capabilities using our API/SDK capabilities in their market-leading hybrid cloud security offer. This offer protects the “hybrid cloud” workloads across AWS, Azure, Google, and VMWare. Our client’s customers need to automate their security operations, as code, across the hybrid cloud, at scale. A strong passion for customer success is critical to the role.

You will be working with customers in our client’s rapidly growing business and need to have the ability to lead and execute with our sales teams.

 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Can write code and scripts
  • Experience with APIs, SDKs, and technologies used in CI/CD pipeline
  • Ability to listen to customer problems, work with the sales team, and show a demonstratable solution
  • Enable the technical sales field through creation of collateral (demos, videos, training, etc)
  • Provide Proof of Concept service to pre-sales customers and help clients with planning and implementation of our client’s products
  • Work in a fast-pace environment under minimal supervision
  • Will provide software and network troubleshooting in complex customer environments
  • Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta products
  • Share best practices with other SEs to enhance quality of service and efficiency
  • Contribute to building the SE Readiness Program and develop subject matter expertise in assigned products and solutions
  • Willing to travel regionally for customers facing activities, as well as marketing and user group events
  • Channel feature requests to Product Management to enhance our client’s products
  • Participate in alliance projects including building vendors’ and customers’ relationships

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS degree or combination of: education and pre-sales experience in Security Software and Systems.
  • Sales Engineering and/or professional services experience preferred
  • Experience working with various Microsoft software and systems
  • Experience with various content security software and systems preferred
  • Solid multi-tasking, troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities
  • Self-starter and quick learner with desire to continually learn new tools and technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients including administrators and C-level executives

 Relevant Work Experience:

  • A good understanding of scripting and coding, tasks where things required automation
  • Computer Science and/or Business Degree (related field) or equivalent work experience
  • AWS
  • Knowledge of MS Windows and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of MS Exchange, IIS and SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of Anti-malware, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Data Loss Protection, Endpoint Encryption, File Integrity Monitoring, Email and Web Gateway Security, Email Encryption, SysLog, SIEM products
  • Experience with VMware vCenter and VDI
  • Network infrastructure experience (Routing, switching, edge firewalls, load balancing)

 One or more of below certifications or training is desired:

  • VCP – VMware Certified Professional
  • CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional
  • MCSE – Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
  • Linux/Solaris/UNIX System Administration
  • CLP – Certified Lotus Professional
  • AWS/Cloud Certification
