We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of high-performance electrical and embedded systems.
You’ll take ownership of complex projects, drive technical decisions, and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team. This role is primarily on-site in Arnprior, ON, with some flexibility for focused remote work.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the end-to-end design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control, and embedded electronics
• Architect integrated hardware/software solutions and system-level designs
• Oversee verification, validation, and certification activities (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD, etc.)
• Guide and mentor junior and intermediate engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices
• Collaborate directly with clients to define requirements, present designs, and provide technical guidance
• Identify and solve complex design challenges across multidisciplinary projects
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (master’s preferred)
• 7+ years of professional experience in electrical design, embedded systems, or power electronics
• Proven experience with CAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence, or similar)
• Deep understanding of hardware/software integration and system-level design
• Expertise with certification standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities
• Eligible for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
