Main Purpose of the Job:
To represent our client’s education and distribution, and the company’s licensed producers’ brands to retail stores in an assigned territory. Your primary responsibilities will be, but not be limited to, growing brand distribution, education budtenders and influencing stores to sell and promote our brands by way of building displays and engaging with store staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The role entails the following:
- Management of and oversight for all licensed retail cannabis dispensaries and chains their region.
Province: based on assigned territory. Due to the nature of the business, territories are subject to change
- Daily, weekly and monthly administrative tasks for territory management
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans in your designated territory to attain your assigned targets and overall company goals and initiatives
- Achieve 100% call coverage per month achieving/exceeding calls per day an AVERAGE of 8 per day
- Responsible for all accounts in designated Territory/Region and work with sales management to develop overall sales strategies and improve distribution of product within set accounts
- Utilizing structured selling to increase distribution, market share and brand awareness in assigned territory
- Follow priorities and directives provided by the Regional Manager, to ensure support of supplier brands, sales goals/projections, and support in securing additional market share through an effective selling approach
- Meet with key decision makers, assisting sale consultants with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
- Responsible for retail and personal inventory management in Territory/ Region.
- Utilize provided budgets while adhering to timely and accurate completion of all expense procedures and reporting.
- Prepare monthly sales reports showing sales volume, risks, opportunities in assigned territories
- Accurate and timely completion of all SalesForce administrative tasks. Including but not limited to: logging visits, distribution, activities, displays, updated account information, and retail communications.
- Execute marketing assets and displays in Stores
- Overall Punctuality in getting required reports/requested material to Manager
- Follow monthly route planning guidelines and timelines for completion
- Setting route plans, customer classifications, and customized sales strategies for stores in your assigned territory to grow your business
- Providing insights to regional manager and the sales team based on feedback from the customers and insights from retail sales data.
- To achieve listings of products represented by GH to grow overall distribution and GH share in each licensed store
- To facilitate and build a strong relationship with retail owners, managers, and buyers along with customer service staff at those retail stores outlets.
- To keep pertinent retail store level staff aware of upcoming events, products, promotions and news concerning any GH products. Specifically, you will ensure that stores not only get the list but keep the listing in stock, as well as ensure upcoming consumer education sessions have sufficient stock to cover the promotion and subsequent pick-up in sales.
- To train and educate staff on all products, adhering to the frequency cadence guidelines
- To influence decision makers with the goal of getting incremental case orders, displays, and listings
- To achieve and influence retailer staff pick selections to help them sell and promote our brands
- To provide positive (and negative) feedback received from retail staff on products to assist with growing market share.
Qualifications:
- Must be over the age of 19 years
- Hold a valid and clean driver’s license within the province/territory employed
- A reliable private, insured vehicle for daily use to visits stores in assigned territory
- Possess or willing to obtain the appropriate provincial license or certification required to sell and market cannabis products
- Clean criminal record
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous selling Experience – 2+ years
Knowledge & understanding of cannabis
Working Conditions:
The majority of your job will be spent in field in your territory, visiting stores within your territory, maintaining the minimum required call cadence, currently at an average of eight calls per day.
Hours are 9:00am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday and you are expected to be working in field throughout the designated hours.The working schedule may change depending on the business requirements. Due to the nature of the company operating across the country, availability during non-business hours will be required from time to time to accommodate the different time zones for out of province meetings and/or events.
Physical Requirements
- You will be expected to be in and out of your vehicle as you visit customer accounts, providing educational guidance to budtenders and putting out various marketing display materials where applicable.
- Occasionally may have to lift a box of product or activation supplies which weigh up to approximately 20lbs.
